FOUNDATIONAL BIBLICAL STUDIES (FBS)
As the name suggests, this course is designed to provide doctrinal and biblical knowledge that is foundational for every believer, especially those who are new in the faith. This course will help those who earnestly desire to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and thus be equipped for service in the local church.
We recommend this course to you if you have not completed any other theological and biblical courses. It is advisable to complete this course before you attempt other courses offered in GBI.
The following subjects are designed to achieve the goals of this course.
Foundational Doctrines of Christian Faith:
- Doctrine of the Bible: Inspiration, Inerrancy and Infallibility of the Scripture, the Canonization, Preservation
- Doctrine of God: Trinity, Christ, Holy Spirit, Majorattributes and works of God
- Doctrine of Sin: Fall of Man, Total Depravity, Judgment
- Doctrine of Salvation: Election, Christ’s Atonement, regeneration, salvation, forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, sanctification, glorification
- Doctrine of Church: Universal Church, Local church, Leaders of the church, Unity and Function of the church, Sacraments of the church
- Doctrine of Last Days: Second Coming, Millennium, Final Judgment
- Doctrine of Eternity: Heaven and Hell

LAY LEADER’S BIBLICAL STUDIES (LLBS)
This course is designed to equip church members who have opportunities to serve as Sunday school teachers, fellowship and ministry leaders, assistants to church leaders, etc.

This course is to equip deacons, elders and other church leaders who have appointments to teach the Word of God and to give leadership in the church. This course will also prepare those who are planning or already involved in Gospel’s outreaches in local communities or in missions.

PASTORAL BIBLICAL STUDIES (PBS)
This course is offered only to those who are called into full-time pastoral ministries. Those who are preparing for or already in the offices of the church such as pastor, preacher and missionary are welcome to take this course.
In addition to completing the following subjects, this course requires all students to be under a two-year supervision of a pastor(s) who is assigned by GBI.
